ABOUT CAROLYN
Carolyn Wagner is an instructional designer who explores ways to connect digital technology with the embodied experience of learning to perform acoustic music. She is a graduate of the Master of Education program in Instructional Design at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Her thesis is "The Phenomenology of Flow in Young Piano Learners and Video Gamers."

Carolyn delivers unique, research-based, and insightful professional development to music educators about using digital technology effectively in their teaching practice. She creates usable learning for music teachers and parents of music students.
A lifelong pianist and music educator, Carolyn's university background is in Economics, in which she earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She is a member of the International Society for Music Education, and the past treasurer of the Fredericton Music Teachers' Association.
Carolyn is an experienced academic copy editor who has edited dissertations, academic papers, and successful grant proposals for scholars across Canada. She specializes in working with scholars whose first language is not English. She teaches graduate courses in Instructional Design at the University of New Brunswick.
